Coronavirus update No3
As the country licks its wounds and thinks about tentative steps back to some sense of normality, at HRS we have re-opened to the public, at least, in part. Our front doors are open once again and we are delighted that people can walk in and converse with the receptionist and or our Solicitors. The 2 metre rule is clearly marked out and there is even a tray that doubles as an information poster.
We wanted to re-introduce face to face contact asap because we know that we all prefer that and yet we also had to ensure safety for all. This method means that you can have a chat with someone and with your lawyer to get an update in person. We hope that it is the first step and that it will not be long before we can open further with client appointments re-starting. Our difficulty with that is the 2 metre rule but we shall see what arises.
In the interim the Courts are re-opening too. Trials have started again and although remote working has been a success with Court hearings taking place over the internet and telephone we are all looking forward to getting back in to Court. As of the 15th we hope to announce a policy change so that our lawyers will once again be able to do what they enjoy and do best; representation. Again, we shall see but obviously we are dependent on the Courts and their pace of returning to normal and what Government guidance is applied in due course…
Finally, I would like to say again how pleased we are with our staff who have worked throughout this crisis and done their job under extraordinary conditions and circumstances of which we are all very well aware. Thank you to all our employees.
HRS: Still open for business, and always.
Best wishes and stay safe.
